This song is intended to emphasis the importance recognizing the smallest and largest characters in life and how their messages may not be that different. When listening to the song or reading the lyrics, it is intended that the audience would picture a rock star with their mighty guitar relating to the entire world. In contrast, perhaps the listener would visualize a homeless man playing for pennies in the street. Lastly, the reader my see a loved one or even them self as the character in the song. Whether one pictures on or more of the characters the central message remains that connection through all areas of life are what ultimately build a humane and peaceful world. This artifact is an poem, which was published by a student led writing group called "Swallow the Moon." The piece entails the concept of developing one's own identity and by doing so one will become more open to the varying beauties of life and a relationship. A reader is expected to look for ways in which they can relate to the voice of the poem and how they may not, either way creating a bond of growing and learning more about one's self and the world around them. This story was suggested by a professor to be submitted to the Writing Excellent Award in 2013 at Oakland University. The breathe of the story is the natural flow of friendships throughout the years. From the story, the reader can recognize how, like academic disciplines, friendships are learned, developed, and reflected upon. (Please click on the picture above to view the story)

This song is meant to recognize that "searching" for love - whether that be loving one's self, others, or work - is a part of a growing existance. Amid loves ups and downs, love should never be deemed as "broken;" the presence of love is constant. The writing strategy is to introduce an individual young romantic, commonly recognized, theme. Then, open up a more worldly challenge that influences the subject and, lastly, open the idea that there is still a constant that connects both concepts. (Please click on the picture above to view the song lyrics and click on the audio play button to hear it)

This executive summary, business report, and memos were developed for a business writing assignment.
